Italy 2008

As I am about to embark on another European adventure, my good friend, Dr. Tuten, mentioned setting up a blog to record my travels, instead of the frequent emails I have sent in the past. So, here is my first blog attempt. This is journey #6 to my maternal homeland of Italy. My friend Frank says I bleed green white and red, as in the colors of the Italian Flag. I depart on Sunday, June 1 and return to the states on June 16. I hope you enjoy Italy through my eyes.

A closing thought for today

Here we are, sitting in a villa overlooking the city that was the center of the Italian Renaissance, three Americans, two Swedish, and four Austrailians, eating Italian cheeses and meats, drinking Tuscan wine, and watching the Euro Cup broadcast in German. Pretty cool, I would say.
